Frequently asked questions

Find the essential answers to quickly understand what Sabil l'Ikram can handle, how support unfolds and when it is useful to contact us.

Understanding the support process

It is useful to contact us as soon as a death has just occurred, when the family does not know in what order to act, when relatives are spread across several countries, or when a need for rapid coordination arises around the burial or the case follow-up.

We can then help you clarify the right first step and the right next move.

Families trust us when they need a clear framework, a single point of contact and follow-up that is more structured than scattered exchanges with multiple stakeholders.

Our role is to relieve you in the management of the case file, put the steps back in the right order and make the support easier to understand.

This is built on:

  • rigorous partner selection
  • real quality follow-up
  • human coordination with a clear point of contact
  • intervention traceability
  • respect for rites, legal constraints and family traditions

Sabil l'Ikram draws on complementary expertise in Muslim funeral rites, logistics, service quality and digital follow-up to support families seriously, even from a distance.

Respect for Muslim rites is at the heart of Sabil l'Ikram's support.

In particular, we make sure to:

  • organize burial as quickly as possible
  • respect local religious practices
  • coordinate stakeholders familiar with Muslim funeral rites
  • follow family traditions when requested

Our teams and partners are selected according to strict criteria of reliability and compliance with religious practices.

We make sure Muslim rites are respected within the support provided, while taking local practices, site constraints and the wishes expressed by the family into account.

A coordinator ensures that services are delivered with dignity, discretion and respect.

Yes. A coordinator follows the case file as the main point of contact.

Their role is to clarify and manage all the stages, centralize useful information and prevent the family from having to repeat the same elements to multiple people.

They coordinate with you the decisions, the services and the next steps of the case file within a clear and reassuring framework.

Yes. Each family may have its own traditions or specific expectations.

Sabil l'Ikram adapts the support to specific requests while respecting religious and cultural practices.

A coordinator validates the important points with you before any arrangement is made.

Funeral organization

Support begins with a qualification of the situation: place of death, urgency, burial city, whether relatives are already on site, and the documents already available.

Then the useful procedures and actions to trigger are arranged for you or with you: organization of the burial, transport coordination if needed, reception of relatives, requested prayers or recitations, donations and other services included in the chosen framework.

Depending on the situation, some steps also depend on documents, authorizations or local validations.

A coordinator remains your single point of contact throughout the whole process.

Requests are handled 7 days a week.

When an urgent situation is reported during operating hours, our goal is to get back to the family quickly to clarify the first steps.

Outside these hours, requests are recorded and resumed as a priority as soon as possible.

The useful documents vary depending on the place of death, the place of burial, any transport of the body and the administrative situation of the deceased person.

You do not need to wait until you have every document before contacting us. The essential point is to be able to describe the situation, identify a family point of contact and specify the place of death as well as the planned burial city. We then help you complete the useful case file.

Depending on the situation, the following documents may be required:

  • Death certificate if already available
  • Identity document of the deceased person
  • Identity document of the requesting person
  • Contact details for a family contact
  • Information about the burial place if already known

A coordinator tells you exactly which elements are needed for your situation.

Yes. You can prepare:

  • identity information for the deceased person
  • the desired burial city
  • contact details for a local family point of contact
  • any special wishes

This helps speed up the coordination of the funeral arrangements.

Remote family follow-up

Yes. Sabil l'Ikram is specifically designed for families living in Morocco or abroad who wish to organize repatriation, funeral arrangements, commemorations, or ensure grave maintenance from a distance.

You can:

  • open a case file remotely
  • exchange with a coordinator
  • follow interventions online
  • receive reports

Each intervention is documented and accessible in your secure family space.

You receive:

  • time-stamped proof of intervention and, where relevant, location details
  • an intervention report
  • follow-up on the services delivered

We select our partners according to strict criteria and regularly monitor service quality.

Grave maintenance

Yes. Sabil l'Ikram can coordinate many complementary services depending on the family's needs.

For example:

  • Repatriation of the deceased to Morocco
  • Organization of receptions (catering)
  • Installation of tents and reception logistics
  • Quran reciters
  • Organization of the three days of Tfareq
  • Organization of the 40th day commemoration
  • Annual commemorations
  • Stonework and grave renovation
  • Regular grave maintenance
  • Donations to charitable organizations in the name of the deceased (Sadaqa Jariya)

These services are organized on request and adapted to family traditions.

A coordinator helps you define the needs and coordinate the necessary services.

The cost depends on the services chosen, the city of intervention and the level of support required.

As a guide:

  • Grave maintenance from 180 MAD before tax per month
  • Full funeral organization from 39,900 MAD before tax

Services can vary according to the city, the urgency of the situation and the services required.

Each request includes:

  • a prior assessment
  • a clear, detailed quote
  • validation before any intervention

All costs are communicated before validation.

A coordinator supports you in choosing the solution best suited to your situation and budget.

You can also ask for a personalized estimate by contacting us.

Confidentiality and access

Yes. Data is protected in accordance with Moroccan law 09-08 on personal data protection.

We apply:

  • secure account access
  • protected document storage
  • access limited to authorized people
  • no resale of data

Service quality is a priority for Sabil l'Ikram.

If a service does not match the expected commitments, we review the situation and look for an appropriate solution with the family.

Our goal is to ensure support that is serious, respectful and aligned with expectations.

A coordinator remains available to handle any request or comment.
